The southern part of the New South Wales is always a good idea is you want to get some sun with its beautiful beaches. For example, only an hour drive south of Sydney, Thirroul Beach is a kilometre long white sand beach with aquamarine water that faces the east, so catches just about any swell. It features a family-friendly saltwater pool, which makes it an ideal destination for families.
Aptly named for its sparkling blue water, great fishing, whale spotting, and beautiful beaches, Sapphire Coast is located further s outh but the trip is well worth it. It’s where you’ll find Armands Beach. Located 12 kilometers south of Bermagui, Armands has been declared clothes optional Bega Valley Shire Council in 1993. The water can get chilly but if you want to get some sun raw, this is the place.
If you prefer warmer climates, the beaches around Coffs Harbour are year-round aquatic wonderlands. Sawtell was once a well-kept secret, but has developed a following thanks to its divine coastline, hip beach side vibe and thriving cafe culture. The beach is perfect for swimming and surfing, while the headlands provide an ideal location for absorbing the coastal views, which include migrating whales between May and November.
